@uppy/locales: update Norwegian Bokmål (nb_NO) (#6346)
The Norwegian Bokmål (`nb_NO`) locale had fallen behind `en_US` by ~55
strings. This brings it up to date.
**Added** translations for the missing keys, including: AI image
generation (`generateImage`, `generating1`–`5`), audio recording
(`allowAudioAccess*`, `noAudio*`, `startAudioRecording`,
`stopAudioRecording`), required meta fields
(`missingRequiredMetaField*`), session recovery (`recoveredAllFiles`,
`recoveredXFiles`, `sessionRestored`), plugin names (`pluginName*`),
image compression (`compressedX`, `compressingImages`), and various UI
strings (`error`, `search`, `pleaseWait`, `unnamed`, `uploadStalled`,
etc.).
**Removed** keys no longer present in `en_US` (`backToSearch`,
`fileSource`, `selectFileNamed`, `timedOut`, `unselectFileNamed`).
**Fixed** `exceedsSize` to include the `%{file}` placeholder, and
aligned key order with `en_US`.
I'm a native Norwegian speaker and reviewed every string. Translation
was done with AI assistance (Claude) and checked by me.

Part of the dev-dependency major-version upgrades. These required code changes so they're split out from the no-code-change batch (#6315). **AI Disclaimer** : AI Used - **glob 8 → 13** — `@uppy/locales` scripts: the callback API was removed, so `getPaths()` uses the promise form and `test.mjs` uses the named `globSync`. - **npm-packlist 5 → 11** — `upload-to-cdn.js`: v7+ takes an `@npmcli/arborist` tree instead of `{ path }`; loads the tree and passes it to `packlist()`. Adds `@npmcli/arborist` as a devDependency. - **nock 13 → 14** (`@uppy/companion`) — the v14 @mswjs/interceptors rewrite crashed the SSRF tests in `http-agent.test.ts`; nock interception is now kept off by default and only activated for the one test that mocks a host. - **@types/use-sync-external-store 0 → 1** — `@uppy/react`: v1's exports map only exposes extensionless subpaths, so imports use `use-sync-external-store/shim` and `/with-selector` (runtime supports both). |

Add useImageEditor (#6122)
- Create image editor abstraction in `@uppy/components`
- Refactor `Editor` (Preact) and `ImageEditor` (Uppy plugin) to put all
methods in the Uppy plugin class so they can be reused by the headless
abstraction
- Create framework hooks for React, Vue, Svelte
- Update all examples to showcase the new hook
- Symlink the `cropper.scss` (just regular CSS) from
`@uppy/image-editor` into `@uppy/components`, update `build:css` in all
framework packages to copy that file too into their own `dist/` output.
- cropper-js needs basic CSS to do the rotations and stuff which would
be very tedious to write yourself so we ship that CSS file to consumers
too so they can just import it.
- Fix memory leak where we created the image on each render inside the
original Preact plugin UI

Introduce @uppy/image-generator (#6056)
Closes #5378
- Introduce `@uppy/image-generator`, a new plugin to generate images
based on a prompt via Transloadit
- until we have "golden templates" the idea is to just send
[steps](https://transloadit.com/docs/topics/templates/#overruling-templates-at-runtime)
- because we must send steps and since we must use signature
authentication for security, which is signed based on the params we
send, we can't reuse the `assemblyOptions` the consumers is already
passing to `@uppy/transloadit` (if they use that uploaders, not needed).
- Remove `SearchInput` (this component was trying to be too many things,
all with conditional boolean props, which is bad practise) in favor of
`useSearchForm` and reuse this hook in two new components `SearchView`
and `FilterInput`
- Reuse all the styles from `SearchProviderView`. This deviates from the
design in #5378. It felt too inconsistent to me to do another UI here
again. For the initial version, I think it's best to stay consistent and
then redesign with search providers taken into account too.
- Because the service is so slow, I went a bit further with the loading
state to show funny messages that rotate while loading mostly because
users will start thinking it is broken after 5 seconds while it fact we
are still loading. But open to ideas here.
This unfortunately means the integration for the consumer is not as lean
and pretty as you would hope. On the upside, it does give them complete
freedom.

Bring back StatusBar and DragDrop (#5931)
While the frameworks have good alternatives now with new components and hooks, Uppy is also popular in 'vanilla' JS setups without frameworks using the CDN bundle. Consumers of this were left with no viable alternative so it's sensible to bring back status bar and drag drop for the CDN publish (at least until we also publish/document using hooks via CDN). The framework packages don't really need this, as the alternatives are viable there. - Bring back `@uppy/status-bar` and `@uppy/drag-drop` from git tag `4.18.1` (latest release before 5.0) - Put exports maps on both packages - Put both packages in the CDN bundle - Version appropriately with changesets - Override existing locale keys. Unfortunately now that status-bar was merged into dashboard, the keys need to exist in both places but our tooling was setup to error when the same keys are found. Now it just overrides the existing key (to the same value in this case) |

Fix locales CDN publish (#5882)
**Problem** - `@uppy/locales` on npm used to have `dist` (minified), `lib` (JS), `src` (to make the sourcemaps work) but dist is redundant tbh and only for the CDN - Since the new release tooling only `lib` was published to npm - CI release could not find any files to upload to CDN (it uses npm-pack, which checks the "files" in package.json and `dist` was missing) **Solution**: - Correct "files" in package.json's - Remove `main` from @uppy/locales package.json which pointed to something random? We still publish `dist` for `@uppy/locales` needlessly to npm afaik. Would require a bit more hacking to separate in the current setup |

Merge @uppy/status-bar into @uppy/dashboard (#5825)
This pull request removes the `@uppy/status-bar` plugin and integrates it directly into the `@uppy/dashboard` plugin. ### Breakdown of the merge - The `StatusBar` class was refactored from a `UIPlugin` into a Preact Class component. - The `locale` strings from status-bar were merged into dashboard's locale file. - The Dashboard plugin now integrates the `StatusBar` component directly, controlling its visibility and passing down all props ( i.e. options that were specific to StatusBar (like showProgressDetails). - The standalone StatusBar wrappers for React , Vue , svelte , Angular were removed. - every reference to the @uppy/status-bar package from the monorepo (including in package.json and tsconfig.json files). - fixed failing tests and removed redundant tests. --------- Co-authored-by: Mikael Finstad <finstaden@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: Merlijn Vos <merlijn@soverin.net> |

Cleaned up dependencies from `uppy/package.json`. - **Framework Cleanup** Removed components and exports from: - `@uppy/react` - `@uppy/vue` - `@uppy/svelte` - `@uppy/angular` - **Dependency Cleanup** Removed references across all `package.json`, `peerDependencies`, `tsconfig.*.json`, and `turbo.json` files. - **Example Updates** - Updated Angular example and `private/dev/DragDrop.js` - Removed deprecated plugin usage - Cleaned example dependencies - **Style Cleanup** Removed CSS imports from `packages/uppy/src/style.scss` and `examples/angular/src/styles.css`. Fixed TypeScript project references. - **Migration Guide** Updated `.github/MIGRATION.md` |

Fix turbo race condition (#5839)
Closes #5822 - `"^build"` makes sure dependencies of the package are build first. - Make dependencies of @uppy/components actually dependencies - Remove concurrency setting. It was too high for computers with low RAM. |

Use turbo for building and watching concurrently (#5808)
- Add `typecheck` command to all packages. - Use turbo to build and watch concurrently with caches. - Remove root `bin/` folder with last global scripts - `bin/companion.sh` -> `@uppy/companion/start-dev` (`yarn start:companion` still works) - `bin/build-components.mjs` -> `@uppy/components/migrate.mjs` (`yarn migrate:components` can be used to run it). This only needs to be ran for new components, not changing existing ones, so that's why it's not part of the build process. turbo is smart enough to build dependencies within a package first before building the package itself (e.g if wanting to build @uppy/audio, build @uppy/utils first). Unfortunately @uppy/core is a peer dep everywhere turbo does not take it into account, yet it must be build first to avoid race conditions. Therefor I added a turbo.json to each package, which you normally never need, but this is an odd case I suppose. Other solutions ran into cyclic dep errors. Another PR would move over the test commands to turbo too. |
