From af1ce527f5caf24e19c5929ec60668af2204e307 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Prakash Date: Fri, 23 Jan 2026 20:59:41 +0530 Subject: [PATCH] implement minimal aws-s3 plugin (#6151) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Working : - Simple uploads (putObject) - Multipart uploads - Pause / Resume / Abort , Resume works using listParts as before - Progress tracking per chunk ( `#onProgress` ) - this is temporary , until we implement xhr based progress tracking as - before. **added new examples to examples/aws-nodejs to test the rewrite , old examples will eventually be removed** Not Yet Implemented - Rate limiting – Currently uploads are sequential - Retries - Remote file uploads – Files from Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. XHR progress - full wiring with uppy state ( I saw few state bugs while testing it manually ) --------- Co-authored-by: Copilot <175728472+Copilot@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Murderlon --- .github/workflows/bundlers.yml | 6 + examples/aws-nodejs/index.js | 90 ++- examples/aws-nodejs/public/rewrite-test.html | 127 ++++ .../@uppy/aws-s3/src/MultipartUploader.ts | 0 packages/@uppy/aws-s3/src/createSignedURL.ts | 181 ----- packages/@uppy/aws-s3/src/index.ts | 702 ++++++++++++++++++ packages/@uppy/aws-s3/src/s3-client/S3.ts | 5 +- packages/@uppy/aws-s3/src/s3-client/types.ts | 4 +- packages/@uppy/aws-s3/tests/index.test.ts | 247 ++++++ .../aws-s3/tests/s3-client/minio.test.js | 17 +- packages/uppy/src/bundle.ts | 1 + packages/uppy/src/index.ts | 1 + 12 files changed, 1181 insertions(+), 200 deletions(-) create mode 100644 examples/aws-nodejs/public/rewrite-test.html delete mode 100644 packages/@uppy/aws-s3/src/MultipartUploader.ts delete mode 100644 packages/@uppy/aws-s3/src/createSignedURL.ts create mode 100644 packages/@uppy/aws-s3/tests/index.test.ts diff --git a/.github/workflows/bundlers.yml b/.github/workflows/bundlers.yml index 0f2035da8..23bbf645e 100644 --- a/.github/workflows/bundlers.yml +++ b/.github/workflows/bundlers.yml @@ -70,6 +70,12 @@ jobs: mkdir /tmp/artifacts && corepack yarn workspaces foreach --all --no-private pack --install-if-needed -o /tmp/artifacts/%s-${{ github.sha }}.tgz + - AWS S3 Plugin Rewrite Test

+

Testing the rewritten @uppy/aws-s3 plugin using S3mini.

+ +
+ Test 1: Using getCredentials (STS) +
+

Uses the /s3/sts endpoint to get temporary credentials. S3mini handles signing internally.

+
+
+
+ +
+ Test 2: Using signRequest (Server Signing) +
+

Uses the /s3/presign endpoint to sign each request on the server.
