This is needed for DKMS to build acpi_call for non-standard kernels,
like linux-hardened.
Existing users should first remove the old package.
# pacman --remove --nosave --recursive acpi_call
Xorg ships with libinput now, which seems to do all the right stuff by
default. The old synaptics driver is maintained but not encouraged
anymore.
Existing users will want to purge the old stuff:
# rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf
# pacman --remove --nosave --recursive xf86-input-synaptics
- create macbook role
- move xf86-input-synaptics to thinkpad role
- macbook role uses xf86-input-mtrack-git
- i'm curious if mtrack-git works better than synaptics on thinkpad
